Mga 50 ka partisipante ang nitambong gikan sa mga lokal ug nasyonal nga buhatan sa gobyerno, hospitals, business establishments ug milling companies.
Pinangunahan sa Department of Science and Technology-Negros Oriental Provincial S&T Center (DOSTNegOr PSTC) ang training gi tumong nga mahatagan og importansya ang "fair trade on the calibration of industrial weighing scales on various applications and acceptability error readings of weighing scales in the market.
Gihatagan og importansya ang husto nga calibration ilabi na sa pagamit sa mga weighing scale sa natad sa public health and safety, fair market trade, consumer protection ug uban pa.
Ang resource person nga si Engineer Roberto B. Edra, laboratory head sa DOST-7 Regional Standards and Testing Laboratory (RSTL) mipasabot mahitungod "existing laws and regulations on metrology and its implementation in the country."
Matud ni Edra "Traceability is an unbroken chain of calibration necessary for the measurements done in the country to be traceable to international standards. The starting point of International Standards begins with the Bureau International des Poids et Measures (BIPM)."
